About
My name is Desislava Kulelieva and I’m professional photographer for more than 25 years.
My passion in photography dates back to 1983. Since then I’ve specialized in the German photofilm maker ORWO, and worked as a color copyist of large format prints and in a portrait photo studio at the National Photographic Agency in Sofia, Bulgaria. I have a major in Economics from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia, but my passion is photography.
My main interest is in the field of portrait and reporting photography, advertising, architecture and sports. I adore travelling and have a large collection of beautiful landscape photos from Bulgaria and abroad. I always search for the beauty in everything that touches my lens.
Since 1993 I’m a career photojournalist at the major Bulgarian daily “24 Hours” where I have an extensive archive of news, story and events photography, some of which I’ll be sharing on this website.
In July 2010, I’ve made photo exhibition “Morocco” in the garden in front of National Theatre in Sofia.
What counts to me is the quality and honesty of my work.
